Ernie Grunfeld is a basketball player and executive who won an Olympic gold medal with the United States in 1976, played nine NBA seasons, and later served as general manager of the New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks and Washington Wizards. Born in Romania to a Jewish family of Holocaust survivors, he emigrated to the United States as a child.
