Daniel Wise is an American mathematician and professor at McGill University whose theory of special cube complexes, developed with Frédéric Haglund, transformed geometric group theory and underpinned Ian Agol's proof of the virtual Haken conjecture for 3-manifolds. He shared the Oswald Veblen Prize in Geometry in 2013. He is listed among Jewish mathematicians.
