Yoram Moses is recognized among Israeli contributors to Technology & Engineering — Israeli computer scientist; Gödel Prize (1997) for the theory of knowledge in distributed systems

How & why

An Israeli computer scientist, Moses studied at the Hebrew University and earned his PhD at Stanford before joining the Technion. With Joseph Halpern he built a rigorous theory of knowledge in distributed systems — formalising what each processor 'knows' and how common knowledge governs coordination — for which he shared the 1997 Gödel Prize. He is Jewish and Israeli.
