Yasmina Reza

Reza is a French playwright and novelist whose spare, sharply comic plays 'Art' (1994) and God of Carnage (2006) became international hits, both winning the Tony Award for Best Play and being staged worldwide. Her work dissects bourgeois manners and the fragility of friendship with acid wit. She was born in Paris to a Jewish family — an Iranian-Jewish father and a Hungarian-Jewish mother.
