William Kapell

William Kapell was an American classical pianist of Jewish heritage, widely regarded as one of the most gifted American pianists of the twentieth century, celebrated for his brilliant technique and interpretive intensity. His career was cut short at age 31 when his return flight from an Australian tour crashed near San Francisco. His recordings remain treasured documents of a talent lost far too early.
