Saul A. Rosenberg was an American oncologist at Stanford University who, with radiologist Henry Kaplan, transformed the treatment of Hodgkin lymphoma by combining radiation and chemotherapy. He also pioneered randomized clinical trials in cancer, helping raise Hodgkin lymphoma cure rates above 90 percent. Rosenberg was Jewish and taught at Stanford Medicine for more than fifty years.
