She founded the Hungarian Feminist Association, served as press secretary of the International Woman Suffrage Alliance, and was a pioneering campaigner for peace and world government. Denied U.S. citizenship for refusing to bear arms, her case reached the Supreme Court; she was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1948.
