Peter Stone was a screenwriter and playwright who won the 1964 Academy Award for the caper comedy 'Father Goose' and wrote the classic thriller 'Charade', and who on Broadway wrote the book for '1776', 'Woman of the Year' and 'Titanic', becoming the only writer to win an Oscar, an Emmy and a Tony. He was the son of film producer John Stone (born Ornstein). He was Jewish.
