Michael Vartan

Michael Vartan was born in Boulogne-Billancourt in 1968; his mother is a Polish Jewish immigrant to the United States and his paternal grandmother was of Hungarian Jewish background. He has said of his French upbringing: "The funny thing is I'm actually a Polish Jew who happens to be born in France." After European films, including the Taviani brothers' Fiorile, he moved to Hollywood for Never Been Kissed, One Hour Photo and Monster-in-Law, and became widely known as Michael Vaughn across five seasons of Alias.
