Michael Ovitz, born on 14 December 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Encino, California, is an American talent agent and executive. In 1975 he co-founded Creative Artists Agency (CAA), which he chaired until 1995 and built into the leading talent agency in Hollywood, later serving briefly as President of The Walt Disney Company from 1995 to 1997. He was born to a Romanian Jewish family and, as a UCLA student, led the predominantly Jewish fraternity Zeta Beta Tau. We are grateful for his lasting mark on the culture and business of entertainment.
