Michael Arbib

Michael A. Arbib is a British-born American computational neuroscientist and computer scientist, a pioneer in linking brain theory with artificial intelligence and robotics, and founding chair of the computer and information science department at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His surname is of Sephardic Jewish origin and he appears on Jinfo.org's list of Jewish computer scientists, but mainstream biographies do not document his religious identity.
