The two met at a party where both were complaining about the price of razor blades, and in January 2011 they began operations on their own money and an investment from the incubator Science Inc.; the website opened that April. The company sold razors by post for a dollar a month, reached 3.2 million members, and on 19 July 2016 was bought by Unilever for a reported billion dollars in cash. Beyond that, very little about Levine is on the public record: he has no encyclopaedia article in any language and gives no interviews, and this card will not invent a life for him.
