Len Blavatnik is a businessman and investor who founded Access Industries, a private holding company with interests in natural resources, media, telecoms and chemicals. He became one of the world's wealthiest people and a major philanthropist funding scientific and cultural institutions. He is Jewish, born to a Jewish family in Soviet Odessa before emigrating.
