Helena Bonham Carter

Helena Bonham Carter's mother comes from a Jewish family on both sides of her own parentage: her mother, Baroness Hélène Fould-Springer, was from an upper-class Jewish family descended from the Fould and Ephrussi dynasties, and her father's father was a Bohemian Jew. That maternal grandfather, the Spanish diplomat Eduardo Propper de Callejón, saved thousands of Jews from the Holocaust and was recognised as Righteous Among the Nations and posthumously awarded the Anti-Defamation League's Courage to Care Award. She was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for The Wings of the Dove (1997) and for Best Supporting Actress for The King's Speech (2010), winning the BAFTA for the latter; she won the International Emmy for Best Actress in 2010 for Enid, and was twice nominated for a Primetime Emmy as Princess Margaret in The Crown.
