Eugene Levy is a Canadian actor, comedian and writer, a founding performer of the SCTV comedy troupe, widely known as Jim in the 'American Pie' films and as Johnny Rose in 'Schitt's Creek', which he co-created with his son Dan Levy and for which he won an Emmy. His improvisational, deadpan style shaped decades of North American comedy. He is Jewish and was raised in a Jewish family in Hamilton, Ontario.
