Eric Salter Balfour was born to a Jewish family in Los Angeles in 1977, the son of a chiropractor and a family counsellor. He was a regular on HBO's Six Feet Under as Gabriel Dimas, played the computer technician Milo Pressman in the first and sixth seasons of 24, appeared in The O.C. and in the 2003 remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and starred as Duke Crocker across five seasons of Haven on Syfy.
