Emmanuel Radinsky (Man Ray)

Man Ray, born Emmanuel Radnitzky, was an American visual artist and photographer who became a central figure of the Dada and Surrealist movements in Paris and New York. He is celebrated for his 'rayograph' cameraless photographs and inventive portraits that reshaped modern art photography. He was Jewish, the son of Russian-Jewish immigrants who settled in the United States.
