David Tabor (born Tabrisky) was a British physicist regarded as a founder of modern tribology — the science of friction, adhesion and lubrication — and co-author of The Friction and Lubrication of Solids. Born in London to a Lithuanian Jewish family, he was for decades a pillar of the Cambridge Jewish community.
