Dara Torres is an American swimmer who won 12 Olympic medals across five Games from 1984 to 2008 and became the first U.S. swimmer to compete in five Olympics. At the 2008 Beijing Games she won three silver medals at age 41, one of the oldest Olympic swimming medalists. She is Jewish through her father and is a member of the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
